We collect information necessary to provide a seamless social and ticketing experience. This includes:
A. Personal Identification Information
- Account Registration: When you create an account, we collect your full name, mobile number (for OTP verification), email address, and a unique username.
- Profile Information: You may voluntarily provide a profile picture, a short bio, and select personal interests to personalize your user profile.
- Identity Verification (Hosts & Sellers): To ensure platform safety and compliance, users who list Paid Events or resell tickets may be required to provide additional identity proof if requested for fraud prevention.
B. Event & Transaction Information
- Event Hosts: If you create a paid event, we collect event details (title, description, venue, pricing) and your banking credentials for settlement purposes.
- Ticket Buyers: We collect details of your bookings, including event selection, ticket quantity, and attendance status.
- Resale Marketplace: If you list a ticket for resale, we collect the original ticket files (PDF/Images) and metadata for validation.
C. Financial Data
- For Payees (Event Hosts & Resale Sellers): To facilitate the transfer of your earnings, we collect your banking details (such as Bank Account Number and IFSC Code) or UPI ID. This information is strictly used for settlement purposes.
- For Payers (Ticket Buyers): Payment transactions are processed directly by our secure third-party payment aggregator (Razorpay). We do not store or save your debit/credit card numbers, CVVs, or Net Banking passwords on our servers.
D. Technical & Usage Data
- Device Information: We collect data such as device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (Device ID/UUID), and IP address.
- App Activity: We track interactions including search history, events viewed, and feature usage to improve app performance.
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect approximate location data to recommend nearby events and localized content. You may disable this in your device settings at any time.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to operate, maintain, and enhance the SceneIn platform:
- Service Delivery: To create your account, enable event discovery, and facilitate social interactions.
- Transaction Processing: To manage ticket purchases, validate resale listings, and ensure secure payment processing.
- Settlements & Payouts: To verify transactions and remit earnings to Event Hosts and Ticket Resellers via standard banking channels.
- Event Coordination: To generate tickets/QR codes for buyers and provide guest lists to Event Hosts for access control.
- Communication: To send booking confirmations, critical service updates, security alerts, and promotional communications (opt-out available).
- Safety & Fraud Prevention: To detect invalid tickets, prevent financial fraud, and resolve disputes between buyers and sellers.
3. Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell your personal data. We disclose information only in the following circumstances:
- To Event Hosts: If you purchase a ticket for an event, we share your name and booking details with the Event Host strictly for the purpose of guest management and entry verification.
- To Other Users: Your public profile (username, profile picture, bio) is visible to other users on the platform.
- Third-Party Service Providers: We engage trusted third-party vendors to perform functions on our behalf, including:
- Payment Processing: Razorpay (for collections).
- Cloud Infrastructure: DigitalOcean (for secure data hosting).
- Analytics: Google Analytics for Firebase.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government regulation, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SceneIn, our users, or others.
4. Data Security & Retention
- Security Measures: We implement industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your data. Sensitive banking information is encrypted during transmission.
- Data Retention: We retain your personal data only as long as your account is active or as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, including legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
5. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You retain control over your data. You have the right to:
- Access & Update: Review and edit your profile information within the App settings.
- Delete Account: You may request the deletion of your account and associated data directly through the App’s settings menu. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed from our active databases, subject to retention for unresolved financial disputes or legal compliance.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when the latest changes were made. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
